As I sat in meditation today at a Prison in San Diego, I was moved by the guys sharing stories of how they teach others to meditate. One shared how his Cellie (Cellmate) told him to just sit and breathe and follow his breath. Another shared with the group how the meditation can help them slow down and be more careful with the choices they make in their life. One man shared how prison is the toughest place to learn to meditate and that is why it is the best place to learn to mediate. Most of these men will be released in 0-5 years. My hope is they continue to strengthen their mind inside prison, so they can stay calm outside of prison. One person at a time, one breathe at a time...Together we make a difference!
